Applications:

Widely applied in glass, ceramics and catalyst manufacturing. In glass industry, it is considered to be the most efficient glass polishing agent for precision optical polishing. It is also used to decolorize glass by keeping iron in its ferrous state.

The ability of cerium-doped glass to block out ultra violet light is utilized in the manufacturing of medical glassware and aerospace windows.

It is also used to prevent polymers from darkening in sunlight and to suppress discoloration of television glass.

It is applied to optical components to improve performance. High purity Ceria are also used in phosphors and dopant to crystal.

Preparation Method: Oxalate Precipitation Method, Cerium Chloride or Cerium nitrate liquor as raw material,use ammonia water to make the Ph down to 2,drop Oxalic acid subside the cerium oxalate,after thermal maturation,separate,washing,drying under 110℃,keep the temperature at 900～1000℃ firing into Cerium Oxide. Ce2(C2O4)3→2CeO2+2CO2+4CO

Cracked annealed laminated glass with fabric
I’ve got some samples from various eva suppliers(Note this is not CNCGLASS EVA). We tried it on the fabric and the only problem with them after they were processed was the bubbles around the edges. After 3 weeks, we found out that most of them have cracks, which does not happened to eva laminated glass without fabric. The crack was edge to edge and in the middle of the pane.

Glass Answers
Here is the reasons and solutions of the glass question answered by Peter Lin
First, let’s analyze the question.
Situation 1-When you just make EVA Film laminated glass(without fabric) you don’t have the bubbles.
Situation 2-When you make fabric EVA laminated glass (fabric inserted), you have bubbles around edges.

Here is the reasons and solutions:
1-You should use thicker EVA film (for example, change from 0.38MM to 0.76MM) when you are laminating with fabric. You need more EVA film to fill the surface gap of the glass and fabric.
2-You should use the EVA film that is better in melt flow index. Which means, the melting EVA film is easier to flow to fill all the gaps and surface of the glass and the fabric.
3-If the glass is cracked in edges and in the middle, you should use the EVA film (for example CNC GLASS EVA FILM) that is eliminated the internal strength of the EVA film when the EVA film is produced on the EVA extruded producing line. So the EVA film will be less at expanding with heat and contracting with cold.

4-Check if the fabric you use is sensitive at expanding with heat and contracting with cold, if so, please try to find a one which is more stable at expanding with heat and contracting with cold.

+Many names. Magic Glass and Magic Film, switchable glass/film, miracle glass/film, smart window, smart glass,PDLF FILM, glass, PDLC glass, and privacy window (glass), etc.

-Will Smart Glass or Smart Film be harmful to other electronic devices or the human body? Need to avoid children?
+Not at all.

-Can I try to modify Smart Glass or Smart Film by myself?
+Better not. Unless you are trained and experienced for this. Smart Glass or Smart Film are sensitive inside, and wrong modifications could lead to smart film broken.

-Will I get an electric shock if I touch Smart Glass or Smart Film without glove?
+No. Smart Glass or Smart Film are insulated very well and will not injury you if you touch them with your naked hand. If the Smart Glass or Smart Film are installed and used according to our instructions, the smart film/smart glass is safe.

-How long does it take Smart Glass or Smart Film to switch from transparent to frosted white and vice verse?
+Very short time. About 1/100th of a second to switch from transparent to frosted white. So you can not feel there is a delay.

-The Smart Glass or Smart Film is damaged, but the Smart Glass or Smart Film still works. Should I continue using it?
+No. A damaged glass or film may lead to a risk of electric shock. Turn it off and Unplug it.

EVA FILM Category
Based on the UV Blocked rate, the EVA FILM can divided into :
Indoor EVA FILM and Outdoor EVA FILM.
Indoor EVA FILM, of course, the UV blocked rate is lower than 50%. So they can only be used inside building.
But how is it going to happen, if I put the indoor EVA FILM laminated glass in outdoor using?
The indoor EVA FILM laminated glass will turn yellow in short period, maybe two years, and bubbles will come out inside the laminated glass, and the EVA FILM will break away from the glass.

For outdoor EVA FILM, the most advanced EVA FILM can absorb 99% of the UV radiation.
But at least the UV radiation should be absorbed more than 85% percent to be implied for outdoor.
Yes, it’s not necessary to say but I want to mention that you can use the outdoor EVA FILM for indoor.

Based on colors, EVA FILM can divide into:

-colored transparent (standard 8 colors in China)
-colored translucent (standard 7 colors in China)
